Probiotics are a combination of beneficial live bacteria and yeasts that naturally exist in your body. Simply put, there are two types of bacteria that reside inside and outside the body: the good and the bad. Therefore, probiotics consist of good bacteria that help keep your body healthy and functioning well.
What are they for and how do they work?
Probiotics are live microorganisms. They work by promoting a balanced and healthy gut microbiota aiding in the digestion and absorption of nutrients as well as in fortifying your immune system, assisting in detoxification.

WHAt you will need
A 32oz wide-mouth sterilized jar
1 1/2 Sea Salt
2 Cups Water
Sliced Organic vegetable
Step by Step
You’ll need a wide-mouth glass jar, similar to a mason jar, for packing all the ingredients. Combine your ingredients by firmly compressing them inside the jar, leaving approximately 1 inch of space at the top.
Organic Veggies
Prepare your preferred vegetables by thoroughly washing and finely chopping them. You can use a variety of vegetables for this recipe. We love Onion, Carrots, Garlic, Beets, Broccoli.
Sterilized Jar
Mix the salt and water until fully dissolved. Then, pour the saltwater over the vegetables until it reaches the jar's top. It's okay if the water overflows slightly.
Mix Water and Salt
Once you've achieved your desired level of sourness, transfer the jar to the refrigerator where it will stay fresh for up to a maximum of 4 months. Serve small portions daily to both yourself and your children.
Fueling Your Probiotics with prebiotic-rich foods
Feeding your gut's friendly bacteria, or probiotics, with prebiotics is essential for maintaining a healthy gut microbiome.
Prebiotics are non-digestible fibers that serve as nourishment for these beneficial microbes, allowing them to thrive and support various bodily functions. When your gut bacteria receive adequate prebiotic sustenance, they can produce short-chain fatty acids, which play a crucial role in gut health and overall well-being.
HOW TO:
Daily Intake: Aim to include prebiotic-rich foods in your daily meals.
Variety: Incorporate a variety of prebiotic sources to support diverse gut bacteria.
Gradual Increase: Start with small servings to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort and gradually increase portions.
Prebiotic-Rich Foods:
Fruits: Apples, bananas, berries, citrus fruits, and kiwi.
Vegetables: Garlic, onions, leeks, asparagus, and Jerusalem artichokes.
Whole Grains: Oats, barley, and wheat.
Legumes: Lentils, chickpeas, and black beans.
Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, flaxseeds, and chia seeds.
By incorporating these prebiotic foods into your diet, you can help support a flourishing gut microbiome, improve gut-brain communication, and boost your mood and overall mental well-being.
Put it to Rest
Seal the jar tightly with the lid and store it in a place away from direct sunlight, maintaining a moderate temperature. Allow it to ferment for two to three weeks, and be sure to label the jar with the date for tracking purposes. The longer you let it sit, the tangier the flavors will become.
Enjoy with Family
